TRIPLY EDITORIAL / EXAMPLE ITINERARY

Civic District and the river

Historic performance buildings and a contemporary shopping stop lead towards the river quays. Treat a theatre performance or club visit as a separately planned evening activity; the route also works for viewing exteriors.

Day 01

01

Civic District / Nightlife

Capitol Theatre

A restored historic theatre forms part of the Capitol complex near City Hall. Check the public programme before making an evening visit, since the venue also accommodates private events.

02

Civic District / Shopping

Funan

A rebuilt mixed-use development brings retail, offices and serviced apartments together near City Hall. It provides a contemporary indoor stop between the Civic District and the Singapore River.

04

Singapore River / Nightlife

Boat Quay

Conserved riverside shophouses line a former centre of Singapore's shipping trade. The quay gives historical context to an evening walk or meal beside the river.

05

Clarke Quay / Nightlife

Zouk

This Singapore nightclub now occupies a Clarke Quay location after originating on Jiak Kim Street. Plan around a specific club night and check the venue's entry arrangements before heading out.

06

Singapore River / Nightlife

Robertson Quay

The most upstream of the river's three historic quays now mixes residences with restaurants, cafes and bars. It is a useful stretch for an unhurried riverside evening.
